About Passport to Leadership

The mission of the Passport to Leadership Program is to serve the entire student body with one of the most comprehensive leadership experiences on campus. We aim to help seasoned student leaders refine their leadership skills and to assist new and emerging leaders in developing the knowledge and skills they need to make a difference at UCI and beyond.
Student who complete a total of seven Passport workshops, including three mandatory workshops, and complete the online evaluations for all workshops attended will receive a Passport to Leadership certificate and will be invited to a banquet held in their honor in the spring.

Participating in Passport
|
Participating in Passport is easy. All students are welcome to attend any number of workshops throughout the academic year. If you would like to receive credit for the workshops you attend and work toward a Passport to Leadership Certificate, just follow the steps below:
Step 1: Sign up Online

Step 2: Review Your Options

Students can earn the Passport to Leadership Certificate by completing 7 workshops throughout the 2011-12 academic year including 3 mandatory sessions. Students who attend these 3 mandatory sessions and 4 workshops of their choice will be eligible for the Passport to Leadership Certificate!
All students must complete the 3 following mandatory sessions:
- Finding your Leadership Strengths
- Public Speaking 101
- Our Diverse Communities
If you see workshops that interest you on the schedule you can request an email reminder for them. Just click the "request reminder" link on the workshop (you must be signed up for Passport and logged in to access this feature). Workshop reminders will be sent five days in advance of the workshop.
Step 3: Attend Sessions
Workshops offered can be found here. Check the website throughout the year for any changes and updates. To obtain credit for workshops, be sure to:
- Sign the attendance sheet at the workshop.
- Complete an online evaluation form for each workshop attended. A link to the evaluation will be sent to you after you attend a workshop.
- Have your Passport flyer stamped by the facilitator each session.
- Check the Passport website to confirm you have received credit for attending.
Step 4: Celebrate!
All participants who complete a minimum of 7 workshops, including the 3 mandatory sessions, will receive an invitation to the Passport to Leadership Awards Ceremony and Banquet held during Spring Quarter.
At the Awards Ceremony, you will receive your certificate of completion and have a chance to celebrate with others who have completed the Passport along with you. Check your email closer to the Spring Quarter for more details.
